DURING NOVEMBER the children are still praying for the deceased during catechism. There are still post-its available on the board in the Narthex to add the names of your deceased relatives and friends, so that the catechism children can pray for them throughout November.

ADVENT PENITENTIAL SERVICE: This has had to be changed from Thursday, 17th December to Tuesday, 15th December. This will enable the two other priests from the proposed new pastoral unit (see sheet “Facing the Future”) to join us with some of their parishioners.

TREASURE HUNT - FIND THE PIRATES’ TREASURE : is the last chance to find the Pirates' Treasurewe will have hit our target of £500. are only a few squares left where the treasure may be hidden. Only£1 a square and you may win a bag of coins, or a bottle of rum, a pirate ship, or bag to take on holiday or a vacuum flask and many other prizes buried on the map. All will be revealed at the Pirates' Party next Saturday after Mass.Details of the party below.

PIRATES PARTY AND DISCOVER WHERE THE HORDES OF TREASURE ARE HIDDEN: Saturday, 21st November 7pm after Mass. Come dressed for the 'occasion'.There will be a prize for the best children's outfit.Please bringa plate of food to share. Tea and coffee will be available and squash for the children.

CAROL SINGING: come and join us on 29th November at 2-45pm outside Boots Chemist in Bishops Walk.

PARISH CHRISTMAS LUNCH: On Wednesday, 2nd December 12.30the Narthex.We hope to have a three course festive meal at approximate cost of £5 per head.There is a list in the Narthex if you would like to come please add your name to the list.

CLIFTON CHILDREN’S SOCIETY: Could you or someone you know offer a permanent adoptive home to a child or children? If you would like information or an informal discussion please contact CCS on: 08451 22 00 77 or visit their website www.ccsadoption.org. The Society will be hosting an informal Open Evening on Thursday, 19th November 2009 from 4pm – 7pm for anyone who would like to come along and find out more about adoption. Catholic families are needed for Catholic children as well as families who reflect the diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds of the 4,000 children who wait.
